Precautions for Hatching Proper operation and careful observation throughout the entire incubation process are crucial. Regularly inspect the water level in the egg incubator and refill with warm water every 3 days, depending on the environment and water volume in the machine. If the room temperature is below 20°C, cover the incubator with a foam package to maintain warmth. Avoid opening the lid frequently during the incubation process, as this can cause the unbroken eggshells to dry out and not hatch properly.

Selecting Eggs for Hatching Use only fresh, unfertilized eggs. Avoid refrigerating or washing the eggs with water. The best fertilized eggs are those laid within 4-7 days. When placing the eggs in the incubator, ensure that the large, rounded end is facing outward and the small end is facing inward.

Monitoring Egg Development Perform three egg checks during the incubation period: 1. Days 5-6: Check the fertilization status and remove any unfertilized, loose-yolk, or dead eggs. 2. Days 11-12: Observe the development of the egg embryos. Well-developed embryos will be larger, with blood vessels covering the egg and a well-defined air cell. 3. Days 16-17: Use a light source to examine the eggs. A well-developed embryo will fill most of the egg, with the blood vessels clearly visible. A stillborn egg will have blurred blood vessels, a yellow area near the air chamber, and an unclear boundary between the egg contents and the air chamber.

Hatching Period (Days 19-21) When the eggshells start to crack, it indicates the hatching period has begun. Increase the humidity to ensure the eggshells are soft enough for the chicks to break through, and reduce the temperature to 37-37.5°C.
